The first Rotary Club was formed when attorney Paul P. Harris called together a meeting of three business acquaintances in downtown Chicago, on February 23, 1905.
The Rotary Club of Kankakee was chartered on July 1, 1915—at the time, there were only a handful of clubs across the world. Countless residents of the Kankakee area have been members of the club since the charter was signed, all working to better their community and contributing to worldwide Rotary projects.
Today, as Kankakee looks to a future of development and continued enrichment of our community, so does the Rotary Club of Kankakee.
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 12pm, at El Mexicano Restaurant 503 Riverstone Pkwy. Kankakee, IL 60901 . We openly invite anyone who would like to learn more about our club to stop by for a good meal and conversation.
