Serving Kankakee Since 1915

The Rotary Club of Kankakee was chartered on July 1, 1915—at the time, there were only a handful of clubs across the world. Countless residents of the Kankakee area have been members of the club since the charter was signed, all working to better their community and contributing to worldwide Rotary projects.

Today, as Kankakee looks to a future of development and continued enrichment of our community, so does the Rotary Club of Kankakee.

We hold meetings every Thursday at 12pm, at El Mexicano Restaurant and two Tuesdays of the month 6pm at Lush Vine. We openly invite anyone who would like to learn more about our club to stop by for a good meal and conversation.

The first Rotary Club was formed when attorney Paul P. Harris called together a meeting of three business acquaintances in downtown Chicago, on February 23, 1905.

Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves. Rotarians provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.

Of the things we think, say or do…

  • Is it the TRUTH?
  • Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  • Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  • Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?”
